To become a CASA Volunteer, you must be at least 21 years old, complete a Volunteer Application, agree to a Criminal Background Check and CPS Background Check and complete a
pre-training interview with a member of the CASA of North Arkansas Team. Once you have submitted your Volunteer Application and completed your interview, you will be ready to start training!
New CASA Volunteer Training requires a 30-hour pre-service training provided by CASA of North Arkansas. Training is offered as flex training (combined online/classroom) to accommodate your schedule. The training is comprehensive, interesting and ensures that you have all the information you need to be a successful CASA Volunteer when you are assigned your first case.
Volunteers are also required to complete 12 hours of Continuing Education on an annual basis. This can include informational seminars, annual conferences, webinars, reading approved books or viewing topic-related videos.
